We Grow Panthers Spotlight

Celebrating Our Graduates

Washington Township Schools proudly celebrates the North Central High School Class of 2026, who will graduate May 27th. As is the case every year, our high school community has been celebrating this graduation season with recognitions, which were kicked off during the 2026 North Central Recognition Night. 180 North Central graduating Scholars received awards, recognized across more than 35 categories, highlighting excellence in academics, athletics, and performing arts. See the full listing on the North Central web site.

Among those recognized, Valedictorian Lucy Kaiser has been named an “Indiana Academic All-Star” by the Indiana Association of School Principals. Each accredited high school in Indiana may nominate just one senior for this prestigious honor. This year, 223 students were nominated, including four from Marion County, and only 40 were selected statewide, making this recognition an exceptional achievement.
Our Valedictorian, Lucy Kaiser, and our Salutatorian, Julia Eynon will be interviewed on WJEL 89.3 FM which airs this Sunday at 8AM and 8PM.
Congratulations to all 884 of our graduating Panthers and their families.
Congratulations to Lucille Kaiser, Valedictorian of the Class of 2026, with exceptional academic achievement.
Congratulations to Julia Eynon, Salutatorian of the Class of 2026, for outstanding academic success.

Graduation Parade

This week, we also celebrated the Class of 2026 at EVERY school in the district! Our Annual Graduation Parade is more than a celebration of our seniors; it’s an opportunity for our youngest learners to see what’s possible through hard work, perseverance, and Panther pride. We are #WTproud of our graduates! #WeGrowPanthers #WhyWT

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!

As we wrap up Teacher Appreciation Week, we are proud to celebrate our outstanding educators who serve our students, families, and community with dedication and care. Their impact reaches far beyond the classroom, and we are grateful for all they do!

Last Day of School is May 21

A reminder that due to the high school final exam schedule and to ensure efficient transportation operations, we will be implementing adjusted early release times for middle and high school students on the last student day, May 21:
  • High School: 2-hour early release at 1:25 PM
  • Middle School: 1-hour early release at 3:25 PM
Elementary school dismissal time will remain the same per the regular elementary schedule. For middle school and high school, regular morning start times will remain the same with dismissal occurring earlier than the regular school day. We encourage parents and guardians to plan accordingly.

Transportation

As we prepare to wrap up another school year, please be mindful of the following:
  • Students are expected to be at their assigned bus stop and ready when the bus arrives. To keep routes running on time, drivers will pick up students who are present and will continue along their route without delay.
  • To ensure they do not miss the bus, students should arrive at their stop at least 10 minutes before the scheduled pickup time.
  • If you have not yet done so, please download the Here Comes the Bus app.
  • This app allows you to track your student’s bus as it approaches the assigned stop. Instructions for downloading and using the app are available on the district website.
Before the end of the school year, schools will share busing details for the 2026–2027 school year. Please review this information carefully once it is provided.
